The first LPGA Women Who Play, Columbus OH Chapter golf event of the year, Sunday, May 6th, was so much fun!  Sixty members and guests enjoyed wonderful weather, a great golf game, and excellent buffet dinner.  There were prizes for Closest to the Sombrero, First Place Team, and Hardest Working Team.  There was a drawing for golf at Cook's Creek to benefit the LPGA Girls Golf that enjoyed great support.

Thanks to Andrea Nameche and Guardian for the additional drawing prizes and our goodie bags.

If you weren't able to attend, you missed a great time.  Hope we get to see you at the next event.  Check out the event photos here.  Ole!!

Columbus LPGA Women Who Play Welcome 2018!

Although the weather outside is still very frightful, it truly is the best time to be thinking about the upcoming season.  As you can imagine, your Columbus LPGA Women Who Play Board has been busy planning an interesting year of events for YOU.   Yes, we’re bringing back some of the annual events, but we are also sprinkling in new ones to keep you interested, challenged and having fun!

Here are some things for you to think about while you’re snuggled under that blanket:

  • If you are new to golf and are thinking you’d like to try it out in a safe environment with people who will help and encourage you, the New Golfer League is for you.  This year, the league will be structured to provide on-course mentors each week, help you understand the basics of golf course management, learn different golf formats, and provide you with a positive and supportive environment as you learn the ropes, together.

2018 LPGA tournament in Indianapolis @ Brickyard

The LPGA tournament in Indianapolis is actively looking for volunteers now, and LPGA Women Who Play, Indianapolis will marshal hole #1.  It’s a prime spot to be, and at the end of the scheduled day, there is still plenty of golf to watch as the top players finish their holes.  As well as being right next to the beer/food garden special one evening….     We hope the Columbus Chapter will join us for some of the week!  The tournament will be the week of August 13 concluding on Sunday, August 19.  For more information and registration, click here.
